Job description

MyMichigan Medical Center West Branch is hiring an experienced Perm Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) due to a new OR and expanding capacity.

West Branch, MI, offers a great location for those seeking 4-season outdoor fun!

Job Description
  1. Regular Full-Time, Day Shift (6:30 am - 5:00 pm) - 40 hours/week
  2. Call frequency 1:4 - required call 1 day per week and 1 weekend per month
  3. The CRNA is not medically directed or supervised by an Anesthesiologist. Induction agents are administered by the CRNA.
  4. Essential Duties:
    • Perform pre-anesthetic evaluation and preparation (25%)
    • Prepare the OR Suite for all types of anesthesia (25%)
    • Administer, manage, and monitor anesthesia care during induction, maintenance, and emergence (25%)
    • Provide post-anesthesia care and evaluation (25%)
  5. Skills:

    • Venous Catheters
    • Arterial Catheters
    • Regionals (Preferred, not Required)
    • Blocks (Preferred, not Required)
  6. Types of Cases:
    • Endoscopy
    • General
    • OB/GYN
    • Orthopedics
    • Pain Management
    • Urology
    • Vascular
  7. Ensure safety precautions during anesthesia care, identify opportunities for quality improvement, and provide clinical support to other departments. Other duties as assigned.
  8. Experience, Training, and Skills:
    • Must possess State of Michigan CRNA Licensure and NBCRNA certification
    • Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to perform basic and advanced anesthesia skills
    • Compliance with all hospital policies
    • Competency in Microsoft Windows
    • Participation in further learning opportunities as needed
  9. Not considering Locum candidates.
  10. At least 3 years of CRNA experience preferred; recent graduates considered.
  11. Not open to 1099 candidates.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Salary range: $200,000 - $240,000
  • Overtime and on-call rate: 1.5x
  • Sign-on bonus up to $50,000 for qualified candidates
  • Relocation package available for non-local candidates

  • BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications (all required)
  • At least 3 years of CRNA experience preferred
