Job summary

Food Lion in Salisbury, NC is seeking a customer-focused associate for the Perishable Department. You will ensure fast, accurate service, rotate stock, and maintain product levels across meat, dairy, and frozen sections.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Ability to use technical information to solve problems.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an atmosphere of enthusiastic customer awareness with primary emphasis on fast, friendly, and accurate customer service to create a positive shopping experience
• Courteous and helpful to other associates
• Understand and use company tools such as the ACIS inventory system and CAO ordering
• Receive deliveries, code where applicable, rotate and store merchandise
• Ensure ordering, receiving, preparation, conditioning and displaying of merchandise follows policies and guidelines
• Maintain proper product levels in Perishable Department areas (meat, lunchmeat, frozen, dairy, ice cream)
• Wrap, label, weigh and stock meat; assemble, disassemble and clean grinder
• Clean and sanitize the department; maintain layout standards and advertising materials
• Follow Food Safety and Workplace Safety guidelines; report accidents per procedures
• Wear Food Lion uniform and name badge; complete CBT and training packets
• Perform all other duties as assigned
