Job summary

Jetro Restaurant Depot in Chicopee, MA is seeking a HiLo Driver Perishable to move merchandise within the warehouse from receiving to a customer’s car door and complete required paperwork.

You will tag orders, safely operate a forklift, assist in loading/unloading, and participate in inventories while following safety and company policies. Prior warehouse experience and basic computer skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in service/production/support role with responsibility for standard work
• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• One year of related experience
• Experience leveraging technology to perform daily tasks, including familiarity with MS Office applications, web navigation, and basic hardware functions
• Strong oral and written communication, problem solving and interpersonal skills; ability to quickly build rapport with internal teammates
• Proven track record of taking initiative to accomplish tasks with a sense of urgency and assertiveness
• The HiLo Operator is responsible for operating a forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise; may perform Order Filler and Checker duties
• Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods

Responsibilities

• Move merchandise throughout the warehouse from receiving to a customer’s car door and complete required paperwork
• Tag or mark orders as requested and move product from staging or storage areas into the truck or trailer being loaded
• Count product against manifest and check inbound shipments for damage, infestation, and production dates
• Report shortages, overages, damage to the appropriate manager
• Verify quantities, quality, labeling and consignee address against customer orders for outgoing shipments
• Safely operate forklift and assist in loading/unloading of product moving into or out of warehouse
• Participate in physical inventories as required
• Maintain clean, neat, and orderly work areas and promote safety
• Assist in maintaining warehouse security
• Other duties as assigned
