Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in Lorton, Virginia seeks a Warehouse Associate to join a clean, organized facility. The role offers $21.00 per hour with weekly pay, a robust benefits package, and training to advance your career in a safety-focused environment.

Typical duties include packing, loading/unloading trailers, operating RF scanners, and maintaining accuracy in the WMS system. The position supports a fast-paced distribution network across the US.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Six months of related warehouse experience required.
• One year or more related warehouse experience preferred.
• Learn to operate powered industrial trucks (stand-up and sit-down forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.).
• May be required to operate manual and/or automated equipment (packaging line) intermediate preferred.
• Powered industrial truck certification.
• Ability to read and perform basic mathematics in English for safety and instructions.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
• Ability to input data into the WMS system.
• Work overtime as assigned.
• Ability to build professional relationships across the organization.
• Ability to work independently and as a team.

Responsibilities

• Package, kit and/or assemble orders and materials.
• Load and unload inbound/outbound trailers; ensure scanning is correct.
• Train dock employees on new procedures; ensure facility security at shift end.
• Investigate/resolve scanning issues and perform housekeeping.
• Perform picking and packing duties; check for product or container damage.
• Handle materials within location policies and procedures; perform material moves.
• Participate in team activities for self-improvement and operations.
• Perform housekeeping duties for assigned area.
