Fortune Fish & Gourmet seeks a Delivery Driver to deliver and unload seafood, beef, poultry, and gourmet products, serving as the main customer contact with top-tier service. Upholds HACCP and DOT safety, ensuring perishable items are handled properly.

Includes pre/post-delivery duties, route adherence, and cash handling, with an emphasis on accuracy, safety, and customer satisfaction. Evening and weekend shifts possible in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years of commercial driving experience is a plus; temperature-controlled product experience preferred.
• Friendly, outgoing, and courteous customer service demeanor.
• Sense of urgency in meeting deadlines with limited supervision.
• Valid standard license.
• Available to work long shifts and Saturdays.
• Basic English speaking proficiency.
• A combination of the above will also be considered.

Responsibilities

• Perform all pre-trip responsibilities, including checking route numbers and account numbers for assigned deliveries.
• Perform necessary vehicle safety inspections for the vehicle.
• Drive and deliver customer orders according to a predetermined route. Ensure the vehicle is properly secured during drop-offs.
• Load and unload products from the vehicle using a dolly or other appropriate devices safely.
• Verify delivery of items with the customer and obtain proper signatures confirming receipt of the product.
• Contact management to discuss issues or concerns as they arise throughout the workday.
• Perform all post-delivery actions, including unloading damaged product, customer returns, and completing any necessary documents.
• Follow Department of Transportation (DOT) and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) regulations during the operation of the truck and handling of the product.
• Develop and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and goodwill by providing professional assistance and by demonstrating an interest in the customer’s needs. Report any complaints to the supervisor.
• Collect money from customers and properly record transactions on company documentation, including invoices. Ensure that payment (cash, checks, etc.) is properly secured.
• Ensure that safety training is current as per company policy.
• Supports the Fleet Manager by ensuring that vehicles are maintained according to schedule and records are current and correct.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
