Job summary

Food Lion in Concord, NC seeks a dedicated team member for the Perishable Department to provide quality customer service, manage merchandise, and maintain safety and sanitation standards.

You will handle receiving, stocking, labeling, and displaying products, ensuring accurate inventory practices and adherence to company guidelines. Opportunity to grow within a busy, fast-paced store environment in the Food Lion network.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Ability to use technical information to solve problems
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations

Responsibilities

• Maintain enthusiastic customer awareness with fast, friendly, and accurate service.
• Courteous and helpful to other associates.
• Understand and use company tools such as ACIS and CAO.
• Receive deliveries, code where applicable, rotate and store.
• Ensure ordering, receiving, preparation, conditioning and displaying of merchandise.
• Maintain proper product levels in Perishable Department (meat, lunchmeat, frozen, dairy, ice cream).
• Process beef and grinds as directed from the production tool.
• Wrap, label, weigh and stock meat case.
• Assemble, disassemble, and clean the grinder as requested or needed.
• Properly clean and sanitize the department.
• Maintain layout standards and signage.
• Ensure advertising and sales promotion materials are used.
• Follow Food Safety and Workplace Safety guidelines.
• Observe and correct unsafe conditions and report accidents per procedures.
• Ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulations.
• Wear the Food Lion uniform with name badge.
• Complete CBT, Training Packet and Training Aid courses.
• Perform all other duties as assigned
