Job summary

Christiana Care Health System seeks a Perioperative Support role to provide patient care and equipment management in procedural areas, ensuring safe patient outcomes. The incumbent will support OR/PACU operations, housekeeping of areas, and alignment with organization values.

Cross-training into SPD or scope processing may be required. Responsibilities include assisting with patient transfers, skin prep support, restocking carts, and maintaining supply par levels.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of two years full-time clinical practice.
• GI Lab-specific SPD or scope processing training preferred.
• BLS required and certifications encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Attend preceptor workshop relevant to role.
• Assist with orientation of new PAT team members.
• Cross-train into perianesthesia, clerk, or SPD roles as needed.
• Perform instrument processing duties for GI lab when required.
• Maintain cleanliness and restock supplies in procedure areas.
• Provide equipment and supplies for patient care teams.
• Operate hospital computer systems and software as needed.
• Communicate effectively with patients and staff; report safety concerns.
