Job summary

Providence Swedish Edmonds is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support the perioperative nursing team. Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, you will perform indirect perioperative tasks for pediatric through geriatric patients during surgical and endoscopy procedures.

You may transport patients, provide second assisting, and serve as a technical expert for the surgical service. Washington state registration and BLS are required; prior acute care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a surgical technology program.
• Upon hire: Washington Surgical Technologist Registration
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS – American Heart Association
• Prior experience as surgical technologist in an acute care facility.

Responsibilities

• Participates as a member of the perioperative nursing team and performs indirect perioperative tasks for patients undergoing surgery.
• May transport patients, second assist, and serve as a technical expert for the surgical service.
