Job summary

Providence Swedish in the Puget Sound region is seeking a Surgical Technologist to join the perioperative nursing team under RN supervision. You will perform indirect perioperative tasks for diverse patients undergoing surgical and endoscopy procedures and may transport patients, provide second assistance, and serve as a technical expert for the service.

Preferred candidates include Certified Surgical Technologist, Washington registration, and BLS; graduation from a surgical technology program

Qualifications

• Graduation from a surgical technology program.
• Washington Surgical Technologist Registration (upon hire).
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association (upon hire).
• Prior experience as a surgical technologist in an acute care facility.

Under the guidance of a Registered Nurse, the Surgical Technologist participates as a member of the perioperative nursing team and performs indirect perioperative tasks for pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients who are having surgical and surgical endoscopy procedures. The Surgical Technologist may be assigned to transport patients, second assist and serve as a technical expert for a surgical service.
