Job summary

Commonwealth Eye Surgery is seeking a Surgical Technician in Lexington, KY. The role involves direct patient care in the operating suite, assisting surgeons, and maintaining OR readiness.

You will transport patients, manage instruments, and help ensure sterile conditions throughout procedures. Requirements include a high school diploma and surgical technician training or certification preferred; BLS is required.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Surgical technician training or certification preferred.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Direct patient care activities per CES policy.
• Assist physicians during procedures and pass instruments.
• Transport patients to and from the operating area as needed.
• Maintain sterile technique and properly care for instruments.
• Set up and operate specialized OR equipment as required.
• Keep records of patient charges incurred during procedures.
• Stock and order surgical supplies and equipment.
