Job summary

Overlake Hospital is seeking a Surgical Assistant for the Inpatient Surgery Department. The Surgical Assistant provides support services to the Surgery Department in the main operating room including the transportation of patients, routine ordering and stocking of identified supplies, assisting with room turn-over and related housekeeping, and assisting as directed with perioperative activities.

1.0 FTE (80 hours biweekly pay period) Monday-Friday / Break Shift Evenings.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• Washington State NA-R license required; NA-C preferred.
• Healthcare provider CPR required.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients to the operating room and related areas.
• Stock and identify supplies, assist with room turnover and housekeeping.
• Support perioperative activities as directed by the Surgical team.
