Job summary

Providence Regional Medical Center Everett is seeking a Senior Operating Room Assistant to support the Surgical Services Department. The role involves assisting with OR turnover, transporting patients, and performing HUC functions such as clerical work, communication, and supply management.

Responsibilities include assisting with case carts, preparing positioning devices, and aiding in the setup of the surgical suite.

Qualifications

• National Provider BLS certification required at hire.
• 1 year of job-related hospital or clinical experience.
• Preferred: nursing assistant program or perioperative support training.
• Experience as OR assistant, CNA, HUC or related perioperative support role is desired.

Responsibilities

• Assist with operating room turnover between surgical cases.
• Provide patient transport.
• Perform Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) functions: clerical support, communication, and supply management.
• Assist with completion of case carts and preparation of positioning devices and equipment.
• Assist the surgical team with preparation of the surgical suite including opening sterile items to the field.
• Assist in training of other Perioperative Care Associates.
• Support quality improvement processes.
