Job summary

Providence Portland Medical Center is seeking a Perioperative Aide to support the surgical team in the operating room. Under the supervision of the perioperative nurse, you will clean and prepare ORs, transport patients safely, retrieve and decontaminate equipment, and stock general supplies.

Qualifications

• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
• Recent healthcare and/or operating room experience.

Responsibilities

• Functions as a member of the surgical team under the direct supervision and direction of the registered perioperative nurse.
• Assists in the OR function by cleaning and preparing operating rooms, safely transporting patients, retrieving and decontaminating equipment, stocking general supplies in the operating rooms.
• May provide limited patient care by assisting with opening supplies before surgery.
