Job summary

Concord Hospital is seeking a Perioperative Services Assistant to work with the OR team, nursing staff, anesthesia providers, and surgical technologists to support surgical patients. Duties include cleaning rooms, restocking supplies, assisting with access lines and equipment, lifting and positioning patients, and transporting specimens.

You will also help with QA and act as a preceptor for new assistants. The role requires a high school diploma and current BLS certification within three months

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent (GED).
• BLS certification within three months of hire.
• Medical Technician registration required within three months of hire for Concord Hospital; Registered Pharmacy Technician required upon hire for Concord Hospital - Laconia.

Responsibilities

• Cleans the surgical suite and equipment to maintain a functional environment daily.
• Restocks OR and anesthesia supplies before, during and after procedures.
• Assists anesthesia providers with multiple patient access lines and equipment.
• Assists with lifting and positioning of patients.
• Assembles and troubleshoots equipment and gathers needed supplies for cases.
• Transports specimens and/or blood products to lab and performs QA activities.
• Serves as a preceptor for new Perioperative Surgical Assistants.
