Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian Queens is seeking a Supply Service Coordinator for Perioperative services to ensure uninterrupted supply and equipment in 20 operating rooms for a Level I Trauma Center. The role coordinates with Materials Management, Engineering and vendors, maintains requisitions, purchase orders, and inventory records, and conducts regular shelf counts.

Day shift, full-time, on-site in Flushing, NY. Candidates should have at least 1 year in inventory/operational systems, Lawson knowledge

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of previous inventory/operational systems experience.
• Window based computer literacy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in inventory control or equivalent.
• Knowledge of or experience with medical equipment and supplies.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the daily activities associated with the processing, distribution and monitoring the supplies for our Perioperative Areas for a Level I Trauma Center performing life-saving procedures in our 20 ORs daily.
• Maintain supplies and equipment in the operating rooms to insure smooth operation of the unit.
• Act as liaison to Materials Management, Engineering and outside vendors to insure that appropriate supplies are delivered with no interruption in patient care.
• Maintain receiving files and records related to requisitions, purchase orders, and vendor contracts and enter inventory control data.
• Review Inventory Control reports and conduct physical counts of shelf stock.
