Job summary

Qualifications

• Medical Assistant, LPN, or RN required, with current Iowa license.
• BCLS certification and Mandatory Reporter required.
• One year experience in a health center, physician’s office or similar medical facility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clerical work in the perioperative department, including provider order entry.
• Acts as a receptionist and assists in scheduling patients for procedures.
• Assists in planning, organizing, implementing and evaluating activities in the perioperative department.
• Answers perioperative phone lines providing information in a courteous and HIPAA-compliant manner.
