Qualifications

• BSN required for RN.
• Current State of Illinois Registered Professional Nurse license.
• American Heart Association BLS certification.
• ADN accepted with commitment to obtain BSN within 3 years of employment.

Responsibilities

• Perform established nursing procedures per hospital policies and care standards.
• Conduct patient assessments considering age-specific variables.
• Develop and update care plans with input from the interprofessional team.
• Administer prescribed medications safely and educate patients and families.
• Coordinate discharge planning and ensure patient/family understanding of care plan.
• Communicate patient status changes to the care team and physicians.
• Document treatments, assessments and patient responses accurately.
