Job summary

Methodist Southlake Medical Center in Southlake, TX seeks a Registered Nurse to provide high‑level nursing care and utilize the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.

The role supports the hospital's mission and requires a graduate of an accredited nursing program with Texas RN licensure or eligibility, and BLS certification. Minimum 12 months RN experience is expected.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Basic Life Support Certification.
• Current license to practice nursing in Texas or eligibility to do so.
• 12 months RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to hospital standards to promote a cooperative work environment using communication, interpersonal skills and teamwork.
• Assumes responsibility for nursing components of patient/family education.
• Communicates with team, coworkers, patients and families and confirms understanding of information.
• Maintains a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, staff and facility.
• Ensures accurate and timely written documentation of patient information.
• Delivers medications and IV therapies safely and accurately.
• Uses the nursing process to ensure quality care throughout the patient episode.
