Job summary

Sioux Falls Specialty Hospital seeks a part-time PERIOP Registered Nurse to deliver comprehensive patient care in pre-op, PACU Phase I and II, while performing essential administrative duties such as accurate patient identification and meticulous medical record documentation.

The role emphasizes collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, patient education, and participation in quality improvement to optimize outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN program required.
• Licensed in the State of South Dakota required or able to obtain upon hire.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification required; can be obtained upon hire.
• One plus year clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive patient care in perioperative settings (pre-op, PACU Phase I, PACU Phase II).
• Accurately identify patients and document medical records.
• Follow provider orders and ensure patient safety and comfort.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and communicate effectively.
• Educate patients and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
