Job summary

Wilson Health in Sidney, Ohio is seeking a direct-hire Registered Nurse (RN) for PACU, SDS, and PAT to support perioperative services. You will assess patients, plan and implement care, administer medications, and educate patients and families throughout the surgical journey.

You will collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the nursing team to ensure safe outcomes, maintain accurate EMR documentation, participate in orientation and professional development, and promote a culture of

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current RN license in the State of Ohio.
• Critical Care experience or a minimum of five (5) years of Medical-Surgical nursing experience.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
• BSN or Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field preferred.
• Previous PACU, SDS, PAT, Critical Care, Emergency Department, or Surgical Services experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and ongoing reassessments throughout the perioperative experience.
• Develop, implement, evaluate, and modify individualized plans of care based on patient needs and clinical findings.
• Administer medications, treatments, and diagnostic procedures safely and accurately per orders and policies.
• Assess and manage patient pain using evidence-based practices.
• Coordinate pre-admission testing, PACU recovery phases, and discharge planning.
• Educate patients and families regarding procedures, recovery expectations, and ongoing care needs.
