Job summary

The CORE Institute | HOPCo is hiring a Registered Nurse for PACU and Preop care in Middleton, Wisconsin. This full-time, on-site role requires an RN license, BLS/ACLS/PALS within 90 days, and a background in acute OR and orthopedic perioperative care.

You will perform nursing processes, administer medications, educate patients, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality perioperative outcomes and safe patient handling.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in state of practice or equivalent per state regulations.
• BLS certification or obtain within 90 days of hire.
• ACLS certification or obtain within 90 days of hire.
• PALS certification or obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Three years of acute OR experience with at least 12 months in Orthopedic perioperative care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care using the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Administer and chart medications as ordered and explain procedures to patient and caregivers.
• Demonstrate competence in PRE-OP & PACU duties and handle emergency situations.
• Maintain and develop clinical expertise and pursue ongoing education.
• Cover scheduling and work in multiple perioperative areas as needed.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and participate in governance.
