Job summary

HCA Florida Fort Walton-Destin Hospital is seeking a qualified OR Registered Nurse to join the Peri-operative team. You will collaborate with physicians and staff to deliver high-quality intra-operative care and ensure patient safety based on individual needs.

The role requires Florida RN licensure (or ability to obtain), BLS/ACLS/PALS, and CNOR is preferred. This on-site opportunity emphasizes teamwork, timely response to urgent cases, and thorough documentation while supporting ongoing

Qualifications

Florida RN license or ability to obtain license prior to start.
BLS, ACLS, PALS (AHA Healthcare provider) required.
CNOR preferred.

Responsibilities

Recognize and address urgent and emergent surgical situations.
Foster continuity and quality of care in the best interests of patients.
Assess and monitor patients’ medical status while in the OR.
Assess patient’s condition and monitor vitals, providing general nursing care.
Ensure the Operating Room is prepared with all necessary supplies, implants, instrumentation, and equipment.
Keep the operating room sterilized.
Review charts for completeness, in accordance with documentation protocols.
Communicate effectively with patients, teammates, and physicians to ensure continuity of care.
