Job summary

Baptist Health is hiring a Registered Nurse to join the Operating Room team at Baptist Nassau in Fernandina Beach, FL. This full-time day-shift role requires on-call participation with a 40-minute response time and offers competitive call and differential pay.

Responsibilities include providing perioperative nursing care, coordinating with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and support staff, and ensuring patient safety and accurate documentation throughout procedures.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of Surgical Services experience
• Operating Room experience
• Hospital experience
• Charge Nurse or leadership experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care using the nursing process
• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and supervise patient care
• Coordinate care provided by ancillary services
• Include patients and families in developing individualized plans of care
• Coordinate and prepare assigned operating room cases
• Assess patient care needs and anticipate procedural requirements
• Maintain patient safety and ensure accurate documentation throughout procedures
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and interdisciplinary teams
