IU Health Fort Wayne Ambulatory Surgery Center is actively seeking an experienced RN OR Clinical Coordinator to provide clinical leadership and operational support for our ambulatory surgery services. Qualifications

• ASN required with RN license in Indiana.
• BSN preferred.
• Current BLS/ACLS as required by unit.
• OR experience strongly preferred.
• Leadership experience in OR setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a clinical leader, resource, and mentor for perioperative staff while maintaining direct patient care responsibilities through circulating and/or scrubbing.
• Function as charge nurse as needed and assist with daily operational oversight, staffing assignments, and workflow coordination.
• Coordinate surgical services by ensuring room readiness, reviewing schedules for staffing or equipment conflicts, and supporting efficient case flow.
• Monitor supplies, inventory, and departmental compliance activities to promote a safe and effective surgical environment.
• Assist with quality, documentation, and operational improvement initiatives, including charting and charge corrections as needed.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, staff development, coaching, and performance management in collaboration with leadership.
• Participate in leadership meetings and partner with the Clinical Manager and Director to support departmental goals, patient outcomes, and team engagement.
• Serve as a role model who fosters teamwork, communication, accountability, and exceptional patient care.
