Stormont Vail Health in Topeka, KS is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – Operating Room/OR Circulator for a full-time, 12-hour shift schedule. The perioperative RN provides comprehensive patient care across pre-, intra-, and post-operative phases, ensuring safety and coordination with the surgical team.

Responsibilities include medication administration, patient assessment, documentation, and participation in quality improvement.

Qualifications

• BSN degree preferred.
• Active KS Registered Nurse license required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 90 days.
• ACLS or CPR may be required depending on department.
• Strong communication and math calculation skills.

Responsabilités

• Provide direct patient care per state nurse practice act.
• Assess and document patient condition; monitor vital signs and response to treatments.
• Administer medications and treatments per nursing standards.
• Develop and update care plans; prioritize patient needs with unit resources.
• Ensure sterile technique and airway management; assist during procedures.
• Document thoroughly in patient records and reporting to the provider.
• Participate in quality improvement activities and staff education.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to ensure safe perioperative care.
