Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Inpatient Surgery Department at The Jewish Hospital. The role focuses on perioperative nursing care across pre-op, intra-op, and post-op stages, with emphasis on patient safety and coordinated team collaboration.

The ideal candidate will have an ADN or BSN, current RN licensure, and BLS/ACLS or PALS certifications, with CNOR preferred. This position is based in Cincinnati and offers comprehensive benefits and professional growth

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited ADN or BSN in Nursing.
• Current state RN licensure.
• BLS/ACLS or PALS certification preferred; must obtain if not on hire.
• CNOR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care team.
• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessment.
• Observe the surgical team and maintain a safe environment for the patient.
• Manage perioperative nursing care in the OR and coordinate with other care providers.
• Provide pre-op, intra-op, and post-op care with discharge instructions.
• Other duties as assigned.
