Trinity Health is seeking a Perioperative RN Educator (Pre-Op, Post-Op, Endoscopy, PAT) in Michigan to lead and advance nursing education across the perioperative continuum.

The role requires a BSN with RN licensure in Michigan and OR experience; MSN is preferred. You will develop innovative education, evaluate outcomes, and support lifelong learning in a major Catholic healthcare system.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Nursing Program; BSN is required.
• MSN or related Master’s Degree preferred for advanced practice and leadership.
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the state of Michigan.
• Previous Operating Room Experience is required.
• CPR/BCLS certification is required.
• Specialty certification completed or active plans to pursue is preferred.
• One year of teaching experience with opportunities to apply principles of adult education.
• Ability to develop new and innovative education opportunities to meet changing learner needs; capable educator, facilitator, change agent, consultant, researcher, and leader.
• Two years of clinical nursing experience in identified or related specialty preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collects data and information related to educational needs.
• Analyzes issues, trends, and data to determine educational needs of individuals, organizations, and communities.
• Identifies target audience, objectives, and outcomes for learning activities.
• Establishes plans detailing strategies, alternatives, and resources to achieve outcomes.
• Ensures planned educational activities are implemented.
• Conducts comprehensive evaluation of each educational activity and effectiveness of nursing education.
• Coordinates educational initiatives and activities.
• Employs strategies to promote positive learning and practice environments.
• Provides consultation to influence plans and advance professional practice.
