Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with current licensure as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina.
• Minimum two years of nursing experience; one year preferred in OR, and/or 2 years of critical care.
• BCLS, ACLS, and PALS certification required or obtained within 6 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Performs the primary functions of a Perioperative Registered Nurse in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care for patients in the Operating Room/Surgical Services.
• Circulates most services and ensures active communication among patient, anesthesia, physicians, OR staff and hospital departments.
• Assists with maintenance of surgical equipment and inventory; processes information in the HIS as required.
