Job summary

Stormont Vail Health is seeking a Specialty Registered Nurse (RN) for Perioperative care in ambulatory settings, with potential hospital float. You will administer hi-risk medications and/or sedations, contribute to pre, intra, and post-operative care, and support safe patient outcomes.

BSN required, KSBN licensure, and BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications as specified; experience in a clinic setting is preferred. This role emphasizes safety, patient education, and collaboration with the health care

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) and licensure to practice as an RN in KS.
• Preferred experience in ambulatory care and perioperative settings.
• Proficiency in safety standards, sterile technique and patient education.
• Demonstrated ability to work with a multidisciplinary health care team.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care per the state nurse practice act and care plans.
• Administers medications and infusions; monitors patient responses.
• Executes pre-, intra-, and post-operative care with focus on safety.
• Triages calls, educates patients and families on care and discharge.
• Collaborates with providers, nurses, and staff to meet outcomes.
• Documents in charts promptly and accurately; participates in quality initiatives.
