Perioperative RN: Ambulatory OR/ASC Expert

Job summary

Kelsey-Seybold Clinic, part of the Optum family, is seeking an Operating Room Registered Nurse to provide perioperative care across multiple service lines within our Houston-area ASC and hospital network.

You will deliver high-quality age-appropriate patient care, collaborate with physicians, anesthesia, and staff, and ensure safe operative nursing per AORN/ASPAN standards. Requires ASN or higher, TX RN license, BLS, and 2+ years OR experience; BSN preferred; ACLS/PALS beneficial.

Qualifications

• ASN or higher nursing degree.
• Active Texas RN license (or compact license).
• Basic Life Support certification (AHA).
• 2+ years of RN experience in operating room.
• RN experience in ASC or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Ambulatory Surgery Center or hospital experience; multi-site or float experience preferred.
• Demonstrate proficiency in delivering high quality age specific patient care and develop effective working relationships with ASC and Clinic staff.
• Communicate patient condition information to physicians, anesthesia, leadership, staff, patients, families, and visitors.
• Perform safe and competent operative nursing care per policies, AORN/ASPAN standards.
