Job summary

Ozarks Community Hospital in Gravette, AR, seeks multiple Perioperative Registered Nurses for our Operating Room. The perioperative RN will care for patients from preadmission to discharge, coordinating with the surgical team to ensure safety and continuity of care.

The position requires RN licensure in Arkansas and active BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (or the ability to obtain them during orientation). Flexibility in scheduling is required to support the department's needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse licensure for the state of Arkansas.
• Successful completion of required cardiac dysrhythmia exam.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications or ability to obtain them during orientation.

Responsibilities

• Provide care, comfort, and safety during the perioperative phase from preadmission to discharge.
• Communicate effectively with patient, staff, physician/anesthetist and hospital departments.
• Manage perioperative process and staffing as assigned; support other areas when needed.

Ozarks Community Hospital (OCH), located in Gravette, Arkansas, is seeking multiplePerioperativeRegistered Nurse's (RN) to join our Operating Roomdepartment.

Under the direction of the Manager of Surgical Services or designee, the Perioperative RN is responsible for the care, comfort, and safety of patients during the perioperative phase of the hospital stay. The perioperative stay begins from the time of preadmission to discharge. This position requires managing the successful perioperative process each day in the area assigned as well as all the other areas in the department when needed. The dimensions of practice range from preoperative assessment to evaluation of information obtained. Incorporating current clinical knowledge with established nursing practice, he or she performs nursing interventions utilizing the nursing process, ensuring continuity of care during the perioperative experience. Included within this assignment is the responsibility for ensuring effective communication between him or herself, the patient, other staff, physician/anesthetist, and other hospital departments. In order to provide safe patient care and promote teamwork every employee must be flexible with their schedule which means they will occasionally be asked to work a day or shift other than what they are regularly scheduled.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
