Qualifications

• Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant.

• Certified ACLS.

Responsibilities

• Provide surgical assistance in the operating room.
• Adapt to various surgeons and procedures to provide optimum perioperative assistance.
• Assess acute and non-acute clinical problems that may delay surgery.
• Assist in pre-admission testing for patient evaluation and surgical clearance.
• Conduct interdisciplinary collaboration with physicians regarding patient management.
• Final check of patient charts including lab work and imaging the day before planned surgery.
• Collaborate with attending anesthesiologists on preadmission testing and care issues.
• Coordinate optimal preoperative preparation with the team.
• Conduct postop assessments and manage perioperative complications.
