Albany Medical Center is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant to join the Orthopedic and Robotic Surgical Services perioperative team. Work alongside surgeons handling robotic and traditional surgeries with diverse case exposure at the main campus in Albany, NY and occasional South Clinical Campus assignments.

The role offers flexible scheduling within a Monday–Friday daytime framework, with options for four 10-hour shifts or five 8-hour shifts, and weekend or off-day opportunities.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant degree program or
• Master's Degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program and RNFA training
• Licensed and registered NYS PA or NP
• Proficient with electronic medical records and billing systems
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written skills
• ACLS/BLS certification required
• HIPAA compliant at all times

Responsabilités

• Provide comprehensive perioperative care for surgical patients
• Assist surgeons during a wide range of procedures including robotic-assisted surgeries
• Perform first- and second-assist duties in the OR
• Collaborate with perioperative nursing staff and surgical teams to ensure safe, efficient patient care
• Participate in mentorship and ongoing professional development across specialties
• Document encounters, operative notes, and findings accurately and compliant with standards
• Contribute to quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
• Support teamwork and a fast-paced surgical environment
