Job summary

Universal Health Services is seeking a Director of Nursing - Perioperative Services at Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center GW Health in Washington, DC. The role provides executive oversight of operating rooms, PACU, Cardiac Cath Lab, and sterile processing while driving clinical direction and population health management.

The ideal candidate will have a BSN, advanced leadership experience in perioperative services, and a DC RN license with CNOR/CSSM preferred.

Qualifications

• BSN required; Master's in Nursing, Healthcare or Administration preferred.
• BLS, ALS required.
• 5+ years in Perioperative and Central Sterile Processing leadership.
• Active RN License (DC), CSSM preferred, CNOR preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide admin and operational oversight for Peri-Operative Services incl. ORs, PACU, Cardiac Cath Lab, Pre-Admission Testing, Gastrointestinal Lab, and Central Sterile Processing.
• Provide clinical direction and manage population care management in collaboration with medical staff.
• Develop and implement nursing quality programs aligned with regulations and accreditation.
• Oversee adherence to accreditation and regulatory standards; drive goals and policies for service areas.
• Coach and support teams; role model professional behavior and collaboration.
• Identify growth opportunities; optimize physician relationships and operate efficiently.
