Job summary

Ohio State University is seeking a Staff Nurse for the Same Day Surgery unit at University Hospital in Columbus. You will manage and coordinate nursing care for patients and families in a fast-paced perioperative setting, and supervise other team members to ensure high-quality care.

The role requires an active Ohio RN license (or interim permit) and a 2-year nursing degree; a BSN is preferred. Excellent computer skills and a commitment to patient safety are essential.

Qualifications

• Requires a 2-year nursing degree from a CCNE/ACEN accredited program.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing is preferred.
• Current Ohio RN license or interim permit.
• 2 years of experience in a relevant care setting preferred.
• Maintains current Ohio RN license and meets health/education requirements.
• Demonstrates computer skills to perform job functions.

• Manage and provide nursing care to patients and family.
• Direct and supervise nursing care by patient-care team members.
• Assess, plan, implement, coordinate, delegate and evaluate care in alignment with professional practice.
