Job summary

Veterans Health Administration, Department of Veterans Affairs in West Roxbury, MA is seeking a Registered Nurse (Operating Room) to provide perioperative nursing care for surgical patients. This full-time position includes cross-coverage to Jamaica Plain campus with minimal travel.

Responsibilities include planning and delivering complex nursing care, collaborating with the interdisciplinary team, maintaining sterility, and adhering to ANA standards and VA directives.

Qualifications

• Graduates must be licensed as a registered nurse in the United States.
• Graduate of an approved nursing program (ACEN/CCNE accredited).
• Eligible for licensure and able to obtain state license.
• May pursue licensure via bridge programs if applicable.
• Current US nurse licensure in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Provide technically competent nursing care for patients undergoing surgical procedures.
• Coordinate care with the perioperative team across circulator and scrub roles.
• Maintain ANA Standards of Nursing Practice and FMEA/ICARE values.
• Lead and collaborate with interdisciplinary team to achieve patient outcomes.
• Ensure sterility and safety of the surgical field and instruments.
