Job summary

Orthopedic Associates of Lancaster (OAL) is seeking a part-time Materials Management specialist to inventory and replenish perioperative supplies across its Lancaster facilities. The role supports the Department’s mission with accurate par levels and timely stocking of materials, implants, and related equipment.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma, 2+ years in a healthcare administrative role, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Two years of progressive experience in health care or related field with increasing level of administrative responsibility.
• Experience with Microsoft Office/365 (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Advanced degree (Associate’s level) with clinical focus on Surgical Technology, Sterile Processing, Health Care Supply Chain Management, or related health care education
• Experience in supply chain management, budget, and finance.
• Experience using a Facility Management or Inventory Control Software.

Responsibilities

• Inventories and maintains adequate par levels of materials for perioperative services.
• Maintains perioperative services consignment inventory, including surgical implants.
• Monitors, rotates, and removes outdated and overstocked materials; adjusts par levels accordingly.
• Restocks materials used for patient care in the perioperative environment.
• Monitors oxygen, carbon dioxide, and nitrogen tank levels daily and orders replacement tanks as needed.
• Communicates backorders and anticipated release dates for perioperative materials.
• Coordinates loans and returns of perioperative services equipment and other materials.
• Maintains records of purchase orders, requisitions, and product literature.
