Job summary

Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital in Santa Clarita, CA, seeks a Perioperative Inventory Coordinator to manage ordering, stocking and tracking of surgical supplies, implants and biologics in a fast-paced OR setting. You will collaborate with surgeons, management and clinical staff to ensure NPR submissions, buyouts and smooth Cath Lab/GI Lab operations, while maintaining inventory accuracy.

• Prior supply chain experience in an operating room environment.
• Two years experience in inventory, data management or supply chain in a healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Order, inventory, stocking, and tracking of supplies, equipment, implants, tissue and biologics.
• Submit NPRs and coordinate perioperative purchasing with surgeons and management.
• Support perioperative services, Cath Lab and GI Lab workflows.
• Collaborate with management, clinical staff and physicians.

Job Summary

Responsible for all duties and functions relating to ordering, inventory, stocking, and tracking of supplies, equipment, prosthesis (implants), tissue and biologics. Ordering of surgical buyouts and specialty items requested by surgeons; in addition to a variety of clerical tasks relating to the purchasing functions. Submits new product request (NPR’s); working collaboratively with management, clinical staff and physicians. Supports all clinical procedure areas such as perioperative services, outpatient surgery, Cath Lab and Special Procedures, GI Lab.

What You’ll Bring To The Team

• Knowledge of surgical supplies and charge master
• PC skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office-Excel, Word, PowerPoint
• Knowledge and skills in use of inventory management information systems (examples: Meditech, Lawson, PeopleSoft, Oracle)
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Analytical skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Organizational skills
• Customer service skills

Licensure And Certification

• Current BLS provider card

Education

• High school graduate or GED equivalent

Experience
