Job summary

Brigham and Women's Faulkner Hospital in Jamaica Plain, MA is seeking a Perioperative Float RN to support preoperative, PACU, and CPE patients across the perioperative continuum. The role involves educating patients and families about the plan of care during a vulnerable time and collaborating with the surgical team to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes.

The position requires a BSN, MA RN licensure, BLS/ACLS, and preference for PACU experience and ASPAN CPAN/CAPA certification.

Qualifications

  • BSN required.
  • Massachusetts Registered Nurse Licensure required.
  • BLS and ACLS required.
  • PACU experience strongly preferred.
  • Preoperative holding and evaluation experience preferred.
  • ASPAN membership and CPAN/CAPA certification preferred.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Evidence of basic analytic thinking to care for a group of patients.
  • Ability to demonstrate observational skills and set priorities.
  • Ability to adhere to ICARE standards.

Job Summary

Schedule: 36hrs (9 or 12 hour shifts) - variable start times 6a, 7a, 8a, 9a or 10a; Weekday and Weekend Call Rotation

Qualifications
What you need:
  • BSN required
