Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a clinically competent Endoscope Reprocessing Tech/Perioperative Care Technician to support RN-led care in the operating suite. Responsibilities include maintaining sterile technique, patient safety, and accurate documentation of care data.

The role requires a high school diploma, medical terminology knowledge, and CPR/BLS certification. Monday–Friday schedule with on-call rotations and weekend duties, within a hospital setting. Competitive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical terminology familiarity; proficient in English (verbal and written).
• CPR – Basic Life Support certification.

Responsibilities

• Delivers direct and indirect perioperative care under RN supervision.
• Maintains a safe and clean environment in the perioperative area.
• Uses service recovery skills to resolve issues promptly.
• Documents patient data accurately using appropriate forms and systems.
• Performs clinical skills per protocol (vital signs, aseptic technique).
• Collaborates with RN to ensure patient safety and quality of care.
