Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a detail-oriented professional for the Perioperative Services charge office. The role supports daily charge and revenue capture operations within the Perioperative Services Administration Department.

Responsibilities include reconciling records, applying correct billing codes, and ensuring accurate charges across EPIC/OpTime and Patcom systems, with focus on data integrity and compliance.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• 4 years of experience required.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile patient records to the surgery schedule.
• Knowledge of billing codes such as HCPCS, C-codes, etc.
• Calculate charges from hardcopy acuity records and enter into the EPIC/OpTime system.
• Enter patient charges and CDM data into the EPIC/OpTime system and related modules.
• Research discrepancies and apply corrections.
• Verify chargeable items against invoices for accuracy.
• Notify the appropriate contact if charge passage has issues.
• Enter implant information in EPIC/OpTime for FDA tracking and patient safety.
