Job summary

UF Health seeks a Service Line Coordinator for Perioperative Cardiothoracic-Vascular procedures to oversee care coordination for surgical patients. You will educate and train nurses and surgical technologists, and coordinate equipment, instruments, and supplies with department leaders.

The role engages in quality improvement initiatives, participates in daily scheduling as Charge Nurse when needed, and may support other procedures during low service line volumes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing required; graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• MSN preferred.
• Licensed to practice nursing in Florida; CNOR certification within three years of hire; CNOR deadline referenced in posting.
• BLS certification from AHA or American Red Cross.
• 1–2 years of OR experience required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate care for patients undergoing cardiothoracic-vascular procedures and oversee team education for nurses and surgical technologists.
• Assist in maintenance of service line equipment, instruments, and supplies with leaders.
• Serve as a value analysis liaison between surgeons and materials management.
• Engage in quality improvement initiatives as directed by leadership.
• Coordinate the daily surgical schedule (Charge Nurse) as needed; may cover other procedures when service line volumes are low.
