Department: Anesthesiology Main


FTE: Full Time, 1.0, 0.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)


Shift: Evenings


Pay: $20.26 - $26.34 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience


Summary: Leads team members of an assigned area or function by demonstrating and providing advanced knowledge of job responsibilities. Provides direct patient care under the supervision and delegation of Registered Nurses.


Responsibilities:
  1. Assists with the development, implementation, and evaluation of departmental policies and procedures.
  2. Assists with training of staff. Assigns daily work to team members when supervisor or manager is unavailable. Transports patients. Assists with cleaning duties and schedules. Transports specimens to appropriate labs.
  3. Delivers supplies, blood products and medications to patient care areas. Performs clerical duties. Stocks supplies and maintains par levels in patient care areas. Prepares appropriate patient bed for post-operative transport as directed. Assists in room turnover between patients.
  4. Performs responsibilities of underlying job. Takes responsibility for, or provides guidance to team members on, the handling of complex or novel issues.
  5. Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.
Requirements:
  • Minimum Required Education: High School diploma or GED.
  • Required Licensure/Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider.
  • Minimum Experience: None Required; Preferred: Acute or long-term care, nursing assistant experience.
