Location: Golisano Children's Hospital of Southwest Florida - 9981 S. HealthPark Drive, Fort Myers, FL 33908

Work Type: Full Time

Shift: 1st Shift, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM

Pay Rate: $15.64 - $18.75 per hour (minimum to midpoint)

Peri-Anesthesia Care Unit

Summary

Functions as support personnel. Duties may include:

1. Transporting patients to and from the surgical department
2. Cleaning rooms
3. Picking up supplies from other departments and delivering them to the department
4. Transporting specimens and supplies to other departments
5. Assisting in lifting and positioning patients as needed
6. Preparing equipment and supplies for anesthesia care
7. Assisting nurse anesthetists, anesthesiologists, and staff
8. Preparing cases
9. Cleaning, maintaining, and repairing scopes, and logging these activities
10. Performing other duties as assigned
11. Performing call duties as required

Requirements

• Education: High School diploma or GED equivalent
• Experience: None required
• Certification: Proof of current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS), valid for at least 90 days after hire
• License: N/A
• Other Skills: Effective and respectful communication (verbal and non-verbal), interpersonal skills, and customer service skills in a fast-paced, high-stress environment
