The University of Rochester is seeking a perioperative nurse to join the ambulatory/OR team in Rochester, NY. This full-time role involves day shifts, 40 hours per week, with opportunities to support the operating room, procedural areas, and perioperative screening.

• Will care for patients across the lifespan, from infants through older adults, and help teams deliver safe, coordinated same-day surgical care.
• Assignment may change based on the needs of each site, and travel between assigned locations is required.
• Sound clinical judgment, flexibility, and strong communication skills, ability to work well with different teams, will need to maintain competencies across assigned clinical areas and sites.

Compensation Range:

$38.76 - $52.33

The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job’s compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.

Responsibilities:

Contributes to unit activities and supports enhancement of the care delivery system at the unit level. Supports peers in the delivery of patient care services and assumes an expanded role which may include charge nurse, preceptor, and committee member responsibilities.
