Job summary

Columbia Healthcare in New York's Capital Region seeks a full-time Associate Periodontist to join a fee-for-service practice with two modern locations in Albany and Saratoga County. The incoming periodontist will provide comprehensive periodontal and implant care, including LANAP and complex surgical procedures.

Ideal candidates will have completed an accredited Periodontics residency and be eligible for New York licensure.

Associate Periodontist – Albany / Saratoga Region, New York

About The Position

A highly established, fee-for-service periodontal and dental implant practice in New York’s Capital Region is seeking a full-time Associate Periodontist to join its growing team.

This is an outstanding opportunity to join a family-owned specialty practice with more than 30 years of experience serving patients throughout the region. The practice operates two modern locations in the Albany and Saratoga County areas and has developed a strong referral network generating 1,600+ new patient consultations annually.

The group is expanding as part of a long-term growth and succession plan and is interested in both experienced Periodontists and graduating residents. One provider can start as soon as possible, with additional opportunities anticipated for summer/fall 2027.

Clinical Scope

The incoming Periodontist will have the opportunity to provide comprehensive periodontal and implant care, including:

• Dental implant placement
• Full-arch implant treatment
• LANAP laser periodontal therapy
• Soft-tissue and gum grafting
• Bone grafting and regenerative procedures
• Guided implant surgery
• Crown lengthening
• IV sedation
• Complex implant and surgical cases

The practice provides in-office sedation and utilizes anesthesiologists for longer and more complex surgical procedures.

Advanced Technology

The practice has invested heavily in advanced periodontal and implant technology, including:

• CBCT imaging
• Guided implant surgery
• Intraoral scanning
• Photogrammetry
• 3D printing
• PRF

Doctors have access to the technology and clinical support necessary to perform both traditional periodontal treatment and sophisticated implant and full-arch cases.

Experienced Periodontists are welcome, but the practice is also very open to recent graduates and current periodontal residents.

• $425,000 guaranteed first-year compensation OR 40% of adjusted production, whichever is greater

Ideal Candidate

Candidates should have completed or be completing an accredited Periodontics residency and be eligible for licensure in New York.

Some experience is preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply.

The ideal candidate is looking for a long-term private-practice opportunity and has an interest in advanced periodontal surgery, implant dentistry, and continued clinical growth. Connections to Upstate New York or the Northeast are a plus but not required.
