Job summary

Sonrava is seeking a Periodontal Assistant to prioritize patient care and support dental procedures with a chair-side presence. The role includes taking radiographs, assisting the doctor and hygienist, and maintaining a clean, efficient operatory.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, radiography certification, and aDental Assistant credential per state requirements; CPR and nitrous oxide certifications are a plus. OSHA/HIPAA training should be up to date.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; radiography certification required; Dental Assistant certification per state or ability to obtain.
• CPR certification preferred; nitrous oxide analgesia certification preferred; keep OSHA/HIPAA training current.
• Direct patient contact experience and professional demeanor are valued.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional patient service with chair-side manner and prioritize patient care.
• Take, develop and mount high-quality radiographs; review charts and health history.
• Prepare operatory and equipment per guidelines; assist doctor and hygienist during procedures.
• Educate patients and address questions; maintain HIPAA confidentiality.
• Assist front office with scheduling and lab cases; monitor supplies and order using formulary.
• Participate in daily huddles; adhere to safety policies and BBP regulations.
