Job summary

Periodontal Associates Inc. is seeking a dedicated Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) to join our specialty periodontal team. You’ll work at our Lyndhurst or Mentor, OH offices, delivering world-class periodontal care in a collaborative, patient-centered environment.

We encourage new graduates to apply. Active OH RDH license, strong communication, and knowledge of periodontal charting and digital radiography are preferred. Monday–Friday with a comprehensive benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

• Newly licensed Dental Hygienist are encouraged to apply.
• Active Ohio Dental Hygienist (RDH) license (or eligibility for licensure).
• Knowledge of dental instruments, sterilization procedures, and infection control protocols.
• Understanding of OSHA and health & safety regulations.
• Experience with periodontal charting and digital radiography preferred.
• Strong computer and documentation skills.
• Excellent communication and people skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive oral and periodontal assessments.
• Remove plaque, tartar, and stains from patients' teeth using various dental instruments.
• Administer local anesthesia to patients as required for dental procedures.
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, including brushing, flossing, and using mouthwash.
• Provide personalized recommendations for oral care products based on individual patient needs.
• Take dental X-rays and process them for the dentist's evaluation.
• Apply preventive treatments such as fluoride varnishes or sealants to protect patients' teeth.
• Conduct periodontal charting and assist the dentist in identifying and treating gum diseases.
