Job summary

Monarch Dental, supported by Smile Brands, is seeking an experienced Travel Perio Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to support our specialty dental teams throughout the Dallas - Fort Worth area.

This traveling role requires flexibility to travel between Monarch Dental locations and work with different providers, delivering chairside and clinical support for periodontal and oral surgery procedures. You will adapt to varying workflows while maintaining patient care excellence.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) credential required.
• Previous dental assisting experience required.
• Periodontics experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with surgical procedures and specialty dentistry preferred.
• Periodontics, Endodontics, or Oral Surgery experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and infection control protocols.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively with different providers and dental teams.
• Highly adaptable, dependable, and comfortable working in multiple locations.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel throughout the DFW area.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide chairside assistance to oral surgeons during surgical and specialty procedures.
• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for oral surgery procedures.
• Assist with patient preparation and positioning before, during, and after procedures.
• Support providers during surgical procedures while maintaining excellent patient care.
• Obtain and document patient information and clinical history as appropriate.
• Take and develop dental radiographs as permitted by applicable requirements.
• Maintain proper infection control, sterilization, and safety protocols.
• Provide patients with appropriate post-operative instructions as directed by the provider.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records.
• Work collaboratively with dentists, oral surgeons, dental assistants, and front-office team members.
• Adapt to different office locations, providers, schedules, and workflows.
• Travel between Monarch Dental locations throughout the DFW area based on business needs.
• Provide a positive, professional, and compassionate patient experience.

Overview

Monarch Dental, supported by Smile Brands, is seeking an experienced Travel Perio Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to support our specialty dental teams throughout the Dallas - Fort Worth area.

This is a traveling position, with work locations varying based on the needs of our practices. The successful candidate will be comfortable traveling between Monarch Dental locations and working with different providers and teams.

We are looking for an experienced RDA with Perio experience who can quickly adapt to different practice environments and provide excellent clinical support to our specialty providers and patients.

Schedule (days/hours)

monday-friday / 30-40hrs
