About Vital Start Health Inc.:

Vital Start Health, Inc is transforming family mental health through personalized support integrated with virtual reality (VR) technology. Our mission is to provide holistic, culturally responsive mental health support for pregnant and postpartum individuals—as well as their partners. By integrating VR-based interventions with evidence-based care through insurance, we help families navigate the emotional challenges of pregnancy, birth, and early parenthood.

Role Overview:

We are seeking a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to deliver evidence-based therapy and psychoeducation as part of Vital Start Health's mental health program. This role includes providing direct support to clients, guiding them through stress management, mindfulness, and psychoeducational content, and integrating our custom VR-based interventions to enhance care between sessions.

Key Responsibilities:

·Deliver emotional and mental health support to pregnant and postpartum individuals, as well as their partners, using evidence-based counseling techniques aligned with Vital Start’s clinical protocols.

·Follow Vital Start’s program, which integrates psychoeducation, mindfulness practices, and stress management techniques based on evidence-based standards of care.

·Utilize approaches such as active listening, positive psychology, and solution-focused methods to engage clients and tailor support to their individual needs.

·Provide psychoeducation during sessions and assign specific VR modules between sessions in accordance with the program curriculum.

·Address the needs of partners transitioning into parenthood, including topics like relationship dynamics, anxiety, and emotional regulation.

·Conduct assessments, monitor client progress, and make clinically appropriate recommendations.

·Ensure accurate and timely documentation in accordance with legal and organizational requirements.

·Maintain cultural sensitivity and foster an inclusive, supportive environment for diverse families.

·Comply with HIPAA and all applicable confidentiality regulations.

VR Technology:

·LCSWs are expected to integrate Vital Start’s VR content as a core component of the client’s care plan.

·Clients engage in self-guided VR modules that align with weekly session goals, reinforcing learning and improving therapeutic outcomes.

·Care Coordinators manage onboarding and technical support so LCSWs can focus on clinical care delivery.

·The VR curriculum is grounded in evidence-based practices and designed to complement in-session psychoeducation and therapy.

Required Qualifications:

·Active LCSW license in good standing in North Carolina.

·Must be a registered provider on Headway.

·Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience, preferably in maternal or partner mental health care.

·Experience providing therapy and psychoeducation using evidence-based approaches.

·Familiarity with telehealth platforms and comfort with remote care delivery.

Preferred Qualifications:

·Experience working with diverse populations and a commitment to equity in mental health care.

·Background in integrating technology, such as VR, into therapeutic practices.

·Bilingual or multilingual capabilities.

Why Join Vital Start Health, Inc?

·Be part of an innovative approach to maternal and partner mental health, integrating cutting-edge VR technology.

·Flexible, remote work environment—work from anywhere while maintaining compliance with PHI and HIPAA requirements.

·Make a meaningful impact—help transform mental health care for growing families.

·Ongoing training and development in maternal mental health best practices.

Opportunity for Private Practice Integration:

In addition to their clinical responsibilities, LCSWs have the option to integrate Vital Start’s evidence-based VR mental health content into their own private practice. This partnership offers access to cutting-edge digital tools designed to enhance therapeutic outcomes for clients. This opportunity is independent of any clinical referrals and structured to comply with federal and state regulations.
